Virginia Funeral Directors Association -

The Virginia Funeral Directors Association was founded in Richmond, VA in 1887. It is one of the oldest associations of its type in the United States. Still headquartered in Richmond, the association’s membership includes the majority of licensed funeral establishments across the Commonwealth. Funeral supply sales people are also welcomed as associate members.

The VFDA offers many services to its members. A regular newsletter is published to share current industry information. An active and attractive Web Site is maintained. The VFDA also sponsors a variety of educational seminars that enable members to meet their continuing education requirements. Each June, the VFDA hosts an annual convention which features educational lectures, exhibits by suppliers to the funeral industry, a gala installation of officer’s banquet, and other exciting social events.
