THACKER CASKETS IS PLEASED TO INTRODUCE ANDREW McGRANAGHAN AS THE SALES REPRESENTATIVE IN MIDDLE AND WEST TENNESSEE (May 2012)

Andrew joined the Thacker sales team in March of 2012. Andrew attended and graduated from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 2009 majoring in Marketing with concentrations in Corporate Marketing and International Business. While attending the University of Tennessee, Andrew also studied abroad for a summer at the John Cabot University in Rome, Italy. Following graduation, Andrew worked as an Account Manager and was later promoted to District Manager for the Healthcare Services Group where he sold and managed third-party outsourcing of housekeeping and cleaning services at Nursing Homes. Andrew is excited to be the sales representative for Thacker's Tennessee territory and will cover the entire state of Tennessee west of Knoxville. Andrew is currently engaged to his fiance Julie. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys going back to his alma mater, University of Tennessee for football games and also taking care of his rescue dog, Kinko.

 

 

 


THACKER CASKETS IS EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE SOME NEW PRODUCT ENHANCEMENTS! (April 2012)

We at Thacker Caskets, Inc. are very excited to announce a variety of product enhancements that we have been diligently implementing over the past six months and are continuing to implement into the future.

It is crucial to our business that we constantly tweak and refine our product to meet your wants and needs. Below is a timeline of product enhancements that our employees at Thacker Casket Manufacturing are pleased to announce!

November 2011: Thacker Casket Manufacturing changed paint vendors from their former vendor, PPG, to a new vendor, IVC Industrial Coatings. IVC has been a longstanding paint and coatings vendor since the 1800's and has worked extensively with the top casket manufacturers in the funeral industry. IVC has allowed Thacker Caskets to achieve a paint finish with enhanced clarity, depth, and flawlessness.

April 2012: In 2005, Thacker Casket Manufacturing was one of the first manufacturing companies to make a switch to a casket with a standard interior width of 24 inches. In recent months, we have experienced numerous requests for a wider bed to match the enhanced width of the casket. Beginning this month, Thacker Casket Manufacturing will begin producing all its metal caskets with a bed that is almost 2 inches wider than the previous bed!

May 2012: Thacker Casket Manufacturing will be adding an additional phase to their current wash system in May 2012. The current wash system cleans and prepares the bare metal for paint. The brand new phase will add a sealent that will further protect the casket from any dust, debris, and particulates that may interfere with creating a pristine paint finish.

Before September 2012: Thacker Casket Manufacturing has recently invested in additional hardware dies and molds in order to bring some of our best selling hardware styles "in house." This vertical integration will allow Thacker to keep control of inventory as well as production quality of these overwhelmingly popular hardware designs. Also, Thacker will be adding a "bolt through" design to many of their popular swingbar casket models. Some of the popular Thacker units with hardware sets that will be affected include Carnation, Cobalt, Summit, White Rose, Golden Cross, In God's Care, and Lord's Prayer.


THACKER CASKETS IS PLEASED TO INTRODUCE JUSTIN QUINN AS THE SALES REPRESENTATIVE IN CENTRAL AND WESTERN MICHIGAN (December 2011)

Justin Quinn joined Thacker Caskets, Inc. in the October of 2011. Justin graduated from the Western Michigan University in 2003 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a Finance major and minors in Economics and General Business. Also while in college, Justin was a member of the Big Brothers organization. Prior to joining the Thacker team, Justin worked for MEDLINE, a medical supply company. He sold medical equipment and supplies to hosptials, clinicians, etc. Prior to MEDLINE, Justin was an Account Manager for Cintas where he achieved membership to the President's Club. Currently, Justin is a member of the Delta Sigma Pi professional business fraternity. Outside of work, Justin likes to spend most of his time in the outdoors kayaking, camping, hiking, and golfing.


THACKER CASKETS IS PLEASED TO INTRODUCE THE SUMMIT AND THE FAIRFAX TO THE THACKER PRODUCT LINE (October 2011)

 

CJ Thacker, Chief Executive Officer of Thacker Caskets, Inc., is pleased to announce the addition of two exciting products to the product line of Thacker Caskets, Inc. - the Summit and the Fairfax.

After seeing the astonishing success of the personalization packaging concept used on the Hartley and Olympic Thacker answered Funeral Directors' request to expand this concept into upper ranges.

"Expanding our popular personalized packaging concept into the hardwood and 18 gauge casket ranges is simply a natural progression," says Mike Beardsley, Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Beardsley also goes onto say, "These caskets will allow funeral directors to now offer the personalization packaging concept at all price points."

The sales representative will be making sales calls to funeral home locations.

A sales representative will creat opportunities within the territory by:

  • Effectively planning sales routes
  • Prospecting for new accounts
  • Using a goal oriented approach to attain new customer business
  • Provide merchandising support to new and existing customers
  • Maintain exisiting customer accounts
  • Develop relationships with the customer base
