Maryland State Funeral Directors Association

The Maryland State Funeral Director’s Association (MSFDA) was established in 1919. It is the largest Funeral Association in Maryland. This active organization counts among its members, most of the leading licensed funeral establishments in the State of Maryland.

Funeral Supply sales representatives may join as associate members of the association.

The MSFDA acts as a clearing house of information for its members. They maintain an ongoing web site, and they organize educational seminars at various times of the year to enable members to satisfy continuing education requirements.

In addition to their mid-winter retreat, an annual convention is traditionally held in July in Ocean City, Maryland. This family oriented gathering combines educational programming, forums for the sharing of ideas, and plenty of opportunities for social interaction. The MSFDA convention is an eagerly anticipated “highlight of summer”.
