Continuing on the path of growth, Thacker Caskets opened two additional warehouses solely for their distribution operations including Lexington, Kentucky and Florence, Alabama in 2007.
In 2010, Thacker made yet another investment back into the company by purchasing the assets of Ampcor II, a leading casket handle and hardware maker. This purchase has supplemented Thacker's efforts to vertically integrate, yet again, into casket handle and hardware manufacturing.
Today, a third generation of Thacker’s are already involved at the company. Following her graudation from Villanova University, Danielle Thacker came on board at Thacker Caskets as a full time employee in June 2007. Her brother Justin joined the team full time in June 2011 following his graduation from Franklin & Marshall College. Both work under the watchful eye of their grandmother, Audrey and father, CJ. Additionally, the company has brought on board proven talent from the Funeral Supply industry to bolster sales efforts and to provide a broad range of expertise to their valued Thacker customers. Mike Beardsley (formerly Director of Sales & Marketing for Marsellus Casket Company) assumed the role of Chief Sales Officer, while John Cooper (formerly of Astral Industries) has assumed the role of Director of Distributor Sales.
Yes, it has been quite a journey! From the streets of Washington, DC to presently serving valued funeral director customers and independent casket jobbers across 34 states, the Thacker commitment to providing exceptional value and exemplary service has never wavered. It is this dedication and commitment to their customers that has been the guiding spirit here at Thacker Caskets, Inc.
